Ministry 10 · Service
Ushers & Protocol
The team that makes a Sunday work — welcome, seating, order, guest protocol and the safety of everyone in the building.
What this ministry is
The first face you see, and the last.
For most visitors, the ushering team is the church before the preaching starts. That first thirty seconds decides whether someone relaxes or spends the service feeling watched.
Beyond welcome, the team manages seating and crowd flow, receives and cares for special guests, handles incidents calmly, and keeps leaders informed of attendance in real time.

Good with people? This is where to start serving.
Ushering is often the first place people serve at Northmead. Speak to the team after either service.
