Membership

Moving from attending Northmead to belonging to it — and what that commitment means on both sides.

Why membership

Belonging is a decision, not a habit.

Plenty of people attend a church for years without ever joining it. Membership makes the relationship explicit: you commit to this congregation, and this congregation commits to you.

Members are pastorally accounted for, eligible to serve in ministry leadership, and included in the life and governance of the church rather than standing at its edge.

Who can join

Membership is open to anyone who has professed faith in Christ and wishes to make Northmead their church home. There is a class first, so that nobody joins without understanding what they are joining.
